| College Description |
For over 35 years, the Pierce College District has been a vital part of the communities of Pierce County. Enrolling more than 4,000 students each quarter, we provide a strong college transfer program and high quality professional/technical, basics skills and continuing education offerings.
Through the Extended Learning program, the District also offers the following:
Academic and professional/technical degree programs for military personnel and their families.
Educational programs for unemployed and underemployed individuals through Workforce Development.
Degree programs for international students through International Education.
A wide array of online classes spanning many disciplines through Distance Learning.
Business and industry training, Job Skills Program (JSP) and Washington's new Customized Training Program are offered through Continuing Education.
At Pierce College Ft. Steilacoom, education takes place on a serene, 140-acre campus with a nearby lake, hiking trails and views of Mt. Rainier. Educational facilities include a one-of-a-kind performing arts theater, the International House and a state-of-the-art digital design computer lab. The college is close to area beaches and Lakewood Towne Center.
